Adreena parked herself in the pool and did not need any pain relief for several hours... in fact she was too relaxed and we had to get her to take a walk down the road to get things moving! When I first saw it I actually thought it was a little bit on the small size, but when it came to the real thing and using it, it was perfect (I am 5ft 4 and any bigger would probably have been too big!) I had an excellent birth (number 3). After 2 fairly traumatic births in hospital I did a Hypnobirthing course as I couldn’t face it again. This gave me the confidence to have a go at having baby number 3 (Lowena Mae, born 7th September at 8.02pm) at home and in a birthing pool was my ideal, as I hadn’t managed to use the birthing pool at the hospital on either of the other occasions. It all went to plan, and the pool really helped, I had no other pain relief other than my husband talking to me using the Hypnobirthing techniques to keep me relaxed, the wonderful warm water in the pool and pressing some acupressure points. And even better – no stitches this time!!! I also then had a natural third stage in the pool and stayed in there for about an hour after Lowena was born and breast fed her. Thank you so much! The storage bag is excellent and the position sheets that were included were also useful – altogether 10/10. I was delighted with my birthing pool!
